INDEPENDENT LIVING

Who lives at Nye Square?

Nye Square apartments and terrace homes are designed for people of retirement age who wish to escape the stressors of home ownership. You can live completely independent or elect additional services, including housekeeping, laundry, transportation, and medication administration.

Will my apartment be furnished?

No. Our apartments are unfurnished allowing you to bring your personal furnishings and treasures to make your home your own.

Am I responsible for household insurance?

Nye Square provides insurance for the building structure and common areas. We do not cover your personal belonging and recommend you obtain renter’s insurance for your personal property.

Will I be able to entertain guests?

Absolutely. Nye Square has several community areas available to you for use with your family and friends including; Dining Rooms, the Ice Cream Parlor, Pete’s Place, Library, Chapel, and Sun Room. Guest apartments are also available if additional space is needed.

Can I keep my car?

Certainly. Detached garages are available for rent on a monthly basis. There is also ample surface parking space.

What emergency services are available to me when needed?

Each apartment is equipped with an emergency call system. This connects you directly to our on-campus nursing staff for immediate assistance.

What types of social and recreational activities are available to me?

Nye Square offers a full range of organized social and recreational events and wellness programs. In addition, we are conveniently located minutes from golfing, fishing, movie theaters, shopping and restaurants.

What happens if I need more services or care?

If additional services or care are needed, we will help you make this transition. Persons living at Nye Square have first priority in our on-campus Assisted Living suites, or Nye Pointe and Nye Legacy, our rehabilitation and skilled nursing campuses.

ASSISTED LIVING

What is an Assisted Living Facility?

Assisted Living Facilities provide supervision or assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs); coordination of services by outside healthcare providers; and monitoring of resident activities to help ensure their health, safety, and well-being.

Will my apartment be furnished?

Yes. Our suites are furnished with a bed, dresser, nightstand, and small refrigerator. You are welcome to personalize your suite to make it your own.

Will I be able to entertain guests?

Absolutely. Nye Square has several community areas available to you for use with your family and friends including; Dining Rooms, the Ice Cream Parlor, Pete’s Place, Library, Chapel, and Sun Room. Guest apartments are also available if additional space is needed.

Can I keep my car?

Are allowances made for vacationing residents?

Yes. Beginning on day eight of your vacation, you will not be charged the daily care level rate until you return.

Does Medicare/Medicaid or private insurance pay for my apartment?

Medicare does not cover the cost of assisted living apartments. However, Medicaid and some private insurance policies provide coverage. We are happy to help you evaluate your individual policy and options.

What happens when I need more care?

If a higher level of care is needed, we will help you make this transition. Persons living at Nye Square have first priority at Nye Pointe or Nye Legacy, our rehabilitation and skilled nursing campuses.
